Jan 23rd, 2013 | |  Utility Trailer Registration??????? #4141380 11/11/09 07:43 PM | OP  Outdoorsman Joined: Aug 2004 Posts: ninety | I have a 20' trailer that I accept endemic for a couple of years. I didn't buy it new and it is a store congenital trailer. I never registered because I only used in the customs that I live in (private Roads). I now take a need for information technology out on the public roads and need to go it registered/titled. I had the axles looked at past a shop and they said they are 7000 # axles. it has brakes and the emergency brake away kit. My question is how do I go about getting this thing registered? I have talked to the Revenue enhancement Assessor role and they said I demand to detect the vin number. I have been all over this matter and tin can't find 1! Any assistance out there?

You tin can then put your vin# on the trailer and take that to the taxation assessor. I have talked to the Tax Assessor function and they said I need to notice the vin number. It's only stupid your your stupid heed. I accept four trailers, two boat, a utility and a machine hauler. NONE have VIN numbers. Pay existent shut attention. NO VIN NUMBERS! I take the renewal for my utility trailer in front of me now. It was bought from a dealer and guess what....Information technology HAS NO VIN! On the renewal it has a space for VIN. Guess what! It is bare! This particular trailer was bought in Houston and registered in Gonzales County with only a receipt. My new boat trailer was bought in Tennessee. Gauge what! It has no VIN. It was registered in Gonzales County with only a receipt. Information technology too is blank where it says VEH. Identification No.
So, I guess you are maxim the Gonzales Tax/Assessor is stupid for registering them. My car hauler has a series number. But again, no VIN. The series number is nowhere on the liscense receipt either. It was registered last calendar month. And so how did I register them? I'll make information technology easy on you lot...I took the receipts to the County Revenue enhancement/Assessor's office and told them I needed plates. And $38.lx later I had plates.

No offence taken. Simply the series number was not used past the Revenue enhancement office as a VIN. Information technology's not on the registration anywhere.
All a person has to do is get to the taxation office and tell them information technology is a homemade trailer and what the load chapters is.
